HMC offers speech therapy to both inpatients and outpatients. Speech therapy is the treatment of speech defects and disorders, especially through use of exercises and audio-visual aids that develop new speech habits.  Speech therapy is most commonly used for patient who have difficulties swallowing or have recently suffered a stroke with deficit.
